About

My name is Jennifer and I am a self-taught photographer. I’ve always been passionate about photography. I remember one family vacation to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore that ended up with me grabbing my parents’ camera and taking pictures of every rock formation and striation on the boat cruise. My mother was not pleased about paying to develop multiple rolls of films with pictures that all looked almost identical. In college I traveled through Europe with a manual camera, having no clue what I was doing and praying that the pictures turned out, because I didn’t develop anything until I got back. There ended up being a couple of pictures that I absolutely loved, and that’s when I really felt like I wanted to learn how to document my travels. Fast forward to 2009 and I had my first digital camera to document my road trip all over the US and Canada, where I honed my skills as a photographer. Taking hundreds of pictures and editing them every single day makes you realize what you are doing right and what you are doing wrong. When I returned to Los Angeles after six months on the road, I turned my camera on my daily baking adventures and learned how to do food photography. In recent years I’ve focused more on people and pets, but I always take my camera wherever I travel.
